West Bromwich Albionveteran Steven Reid feels David De Gea will come good for Manchester United.
De Gea looked nervous at The Hawthorns where he flapped at crosses and gifted Shane Long an equaliser.
Quizzed about De Gea, Albion full-back Reid said: "I am sure it is going to take a little bit of time and is a big price tag.
"He is a young keeper and is only 20 years old.
"I am not really sure about our goal, I'll have to look at it again to see what happened with it.
"But I am sure he has a good future in the game, he is still young.
"The United scouts have done their homework and I am sure he will do well throughout the years."
De Gea allowed a tame shot on the turn from Albion debutant Long to creep in but Reid insisted: "we didn't especially target him."
