The South Korean extends his stay at Old Trafford for at least another two years much to the delight of manager Sir Alex Ferguson, as well as the midfielder himself.
Manchester United midfielder Ji-Sung Park has signed a two-year contract extension that will see him stay at Old Trafford until at least 2013.
Park's new deal will see the tenacious playmaker reach eight years with the Red Devils after signing from Dutch side PSV back in 2005.
"I have enjoyed every minute of my time at United," Park said. "I’m delighted to be part of the club during this latest stage in its history – with another exciting young team being built. I’m looking forward to playing my part in keeping United at the top of the game.”
In the South Korean’s six-years so far at United, Park has made 177 appearances, scoring 24 goals in the process.
The 30-year-old also had the honor of lifting four Premier League titles, along with the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and three League Cup winners’ medals.
“Ji has been an important player for us for a number of years now," Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said. “He has great ability and energy and in recent seasons has added the knack of scoring important goals in big games. He is a popular member of the squad and his experience at domestic and international level is invaluable for the younger players.”
