Manchester City bossRoberto Mancini felt they sent a message toManchester United with the manner of victory over Swansea City.
It was a clear warning to other sides with title ambitions, most notably champions and neighboursManchester United.
Mancini said: "It was really important to start very well because United won - but it is always important to start the season well."
