Man Utd boss Ferguson prepares final bid as Sneijder cut loose from Inter training

Sunday, August 21,

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson intends to make a final bid for Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

The Daily Mail says Ferguson will have been encouraged by Inter Milan’s unusual statement on their official website that their Holland midfielder had pulled out of training for ‘personal reasons’.
They also stated he would not be available for Sunday’s prestige home friendly against Olympiakos.
The 27-year-old has been Sir Alex’s main transfer target all summer as he seeks a replacement for the retired Paul Scholes.
The Dutchman would command a transfer fee in excess of £30million, but it had appeared that matching his £250,000-a-week San Siro wages ruled out any official approach.
There's now reports Sneijder is willing to slash his personal demands to get a move to United.
