No Activity!

Sir Alex Ferguson was true to his word then!

Whilst several others huffed and puffed and scrambled around trying to bring players in, Manchester united just watched all the hullaballoo from afar.

True there were rumours floating around that Wesley Sneijder had been spotted at Milan airport boarding a private jet and some others, posting Tweets, reckoned he`d breezed through customs at Manchester international, but it was all baloney.

Instead, nothing changed at United.

But have any of our rivals signed anybody that could upset the United apple-cart when it comes to retaining our title?

Well I`d have to say no!

Manchester City signed nobody of any significance, only a certain Owen Hargreaves who has yet to convince anybody he can last the pace without picking up an injury.

Chelsea signed Meireles, somebody who won`t give them the flair they lack, whilst Arsenal panicked and bought anybody they could. Rumour had it atone stage that they`d bid for Colonel Gadaffi, apparently Arsene had never seen him play but had heard everybody was after him.

So was it a successful transfer window for us?

I`d have to say yes, acquiring Young, Jones and De Gea early on in the window took the pressure off of us and now we`re set to prosper!
