Javier Hernandez has insisted that the younger players coming up has only been a positive thing for Manchester United, with competition for selection greater than ever.
Hernandez started the season with a head injury, and after he recovered he has had to fight with Danny Welbeck, who has scored two goals in three matches, for a in the starting line-up.
And while it would be frustrating for Hernandez fighting for his spot on the team again after such a successful debut season, the Mexican striker believes it will only make him a better player.
"Many of our players are between 19 and 21 years of age, then me, [Jonny] Evans and Ando [Anderson] are 23 so we feel older!,” Hernandez told the official Manchester United website.
"The younger players run a little more and want to show why they are in the team, and that can only be good for us.
"But it’s great because there are other players here with lots of experience too."
