LANDOVER, Md. – Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez emerged out of the visitor’s locker room at Fed Ex field flashing his trademark smile as he boarded the team’s bus.

If there was any doubt that a concussion would hold the Mexican star out of the upcoming Community Shield match- the Manchester Derby at Wembley- Hernandez appeared ready to go for the match on Aug. 7. United winger Nani is excited that the 23-year-old will most likely be able to play.

“I think he’s okay now,” said Nani “I think he needs a couple days to come back to training, but he’s feeling very good.”

In his first season with the Red Devils, Hernandez was lethal for the club, scoring 20 goals in 45 appearances overall. The striker showed improvement during the Gold Cup, continuing his torrid form in the competition by scoring an amazing seven goals during the competition.

With Manchester City expected to be a contender this season, bringing in even more talent, United coach Sir Alex Ferguson will expect the player to help lead the line for the club’s offense and of course find the back of the net.

For both players and fans of the club, the hopes are lying on the young player to help defend the team’s Premier League trophy.
