Manchester United defender Jonny Evans was aware of sale rumours swirling around him last season.
The Northern Ireland star is ready to fight England duo Chris Smalling and Phil Jones to be Manchester United’s first-choice defensive back-up.
He said: “I didn’t have the best year and there was talk that I was leaving. But I never believed the boss would sell me and I have never doubted his belief in me.
