Florent Malouda: Sir Alex Ferguson would not have suffered the same fate that Carlo Ancelotti did at Chelsea

Florent Malouda believes Carlo Ancelotti was hard done by when he was sacked as Chelsea manager.

The Italian boss won an FA Cup and Premier League double during his first season at the club, but failed to win any silverware in his second year in charge and was sacked at the end of the campaign, with Andre Villas-Boas taking charge.

"We won the double and then Carlo gets fired," Malouda said, according to The Sun.

Now the Frenchman says Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would not have been subjected to the fate that the former AC Milan manager suffered, suggesting that it may have been unfair to sack the two-time Champions League-winning coach.

"It wouldn't happen to [Sir] Alex Ferguson. But I like the new manager and hope he sticks around. We need consistency."

Concerning the club's imminent arrival, Juan Mata, Malouda added: "He'll be a good addition."
