Manchester United's Aussie goalkeeper Liam Jacob has begun the season as the club's U18 No1.
Jacob, who moved to United fromLiverpool a year ago, was between the posts for their 2-1 defeat toPortsmouth in the Academy league's opening game.
The Australian was selected by coach Paul McGuinness ahead of highly-fancied Republic of Ireland youth international keeper Joe Coll.
