Mancini wants Man City players to draw inspiration from Man Utd

Manchester City bossRoberto Mancini wants his players to be inspired by title rivals Manchester United.

When City beat Wigan 3-0 last weekend, United trumped them again later that day, beating Bolton 5-0 to reclaim top spot.

After watching his side outshone and outscored by United, Mancini has told his players to follow their blueprint for success and continue to strive for more goals, even when they are winning games.

"United are a top team," said Mancini. "They have been used to winning for a long time.

"When they play against Arsenal and scored two or three goals, they continued to try and score. We need to have that mentality.

"We had it at Tottenham and when that happens you have to continue to play, play, play."
