Javier Hernandez says the feeling around Manchester United is one of excitement after his club's spectacular start to the season.

Hernandez ended his own rough start with two goals as his team ran out as a 5-0 winner Bolton. Wayne Rooney also scored his second straight hat-trick as the goals continued to flow for United.

"There is a lot of excitement about this team," Hernandez said. "Everyone knows about Bolton but we played very well. We created chances and scored goals. Scoring early settled us down. Once you are up in front, the other team needs to go towards your goal. Then you can start to attack more."

Chicharito's brace followed stint on the sidelines through injury and the striker was happy to get back into the flow of things.

"Scoring goals gives any striker confidence," he said. "But the most important thing for me was that I managed to play 90 minutes for the first time because I have been out for two months. I could have scored three myself but I only play to help my team. I will keep working for that to enable us to get more points."

United will be back in action Wednesday against Benfica in the Champions League, but Hernandez is confident that his club has plenty of depth to deal with the quick turnaround.

"This is a great team," he said of his squad. "There is a good blend of young people and experienced ones. Also you have someone like Phil Jones playing right-back, and Chris Smalling did it before. Both play centre-back but they can change positions really well. That is really important."
