New England Revolutioncoach Steve Nicol insists the entire squad is looking forward to Wednesday night’s meeting with Manchester United.
The former Liverpool defender leads his Revs side into battle against the 19-time English champions in a Herbalife World Football Challenge match at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough this week and he was definitely exciting at the pre-match press conference on Monday.
“For us, we're looking forward to the game immensely,” Nicol said. “I know the players are. It will be a great experience for them to play against one of the best teams on the planet and some of the best players on the planet.
“It should be a great experience for our guys. Hopefully, we can do well and that will give us some confidence to take into the rest of the season.”
The Revs have not won in eight MLS matches and currently sit at the foot of the Eastern Conference table but will be looking for a big showing against the Red Devils in front of a strong home crowd.
