Scotland captain Darren Fletcher the squad is deep enough to overcome the loss of some key players on Tuesday.
The Scots take on Lithuania in a crunch Euro2012 qualifier at Hampden Park tomorrow night without Scott Brown, Kenny Miller (both suspended) and Charlie Adam butManchester United midfielder Fletcher says that those who come in will be able to do the job for their country.
“It will be very difficult to replace the pair of them. Both were fantastic against the Czechs,” he said of Brown and Miller.
"Scott had great energy in the middle of the park, won tackles and is good on the ball.
“Kenny, as he always does for Scotland, put in a great shift up there on his own, which is a thankless task.
"He scored a great goal and provided a fantastic assist for my goal. So they will both be missed but we've got a decent squad now and it's up to someone to step up to accept the challenge of trying to replace these guys."
Blackburn Rovers recruit David Goodwillie is likely to fill Miller’s void and Fletcher says his international inexperience will not be an impediment.
"It's a challenge and I'm sure whoever plays will respond to it,” Fletcher added.
"He is a capable player, playing at a good level and showing good form this season so hopefully he will be relishing that opportunity.
"I scored on my competitive debut, against Lithuania, so we've all been there before when we've not got much experience but you're desperate to impress and full of enthusiasm.
"Whoever is selected will want to go out and do the same."
