Sunderland boss Steve Bruce insists there's nothing serious with John O'Shea's knock collected against Arminia Bielefeld yesterday.
The former Manchester United man was substituted against Arminia Bielefeld after tweaking a muscle and was replaced by Anton Ferdinand.
Bruce, who is also without O'Shea's former United team-mate Wes Brown, says he wasn't about to take any risks in the second game of the pre-season schedule.
"It is nothing to worry about," Bruce told safc.com.
"It's a bit of strain and as it's only pre-season we didn't take any chances."
