Scottish boss says there is no evidence the midfielder's physical capacity is decreasing as the Red Devils look set to extend the Welshman's contract for a further year

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes midfielder Ryan Giggs has another season of football in him yet, and looks set to extend the Welshman's rolling contract for a further year.
Giggs first agreed the rolling deal at age 30 and has continually extended it, with Sir Alex claiming that the now 38-year-old's fitness has not decreased for two or three years.
"I think Ryan can play another year," Sir Alex told reporters. "There is no evidence at this moment in time that his energy, stamina or speed are decreasing. In fact, it's exactly the same as it was the last two or three years. It's amazing.

"I know it's midseason now and it all depends on what Ryan thinks about his future, too. He knows he can't go on forever, we know he can't go on forever, but he can play for another year."
Next season would be Giggs' 23rd in the first team at Old Trafford. He has made 11 Premier League appearances for United this season, although only four have been starts.
