Manchester United bossSir Alex Ferguson is ready to slap in a bid for Arsenalmidfielder Samir Nasri.
The Manchester Evening News says Ferguson is back in England this week after holidaying in the South of France and is keen to sort out the central midfield berth vacated by the retired Paul Scholes before the bulk of the squad return to training next Monday.
The Reds are ready to move in and test the water at the Emirates with a £20m bid.
Much will depend on whether Barcelona give up their bid for Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas.
Success for Barca would see United's move for Nasri doomed.
