Manchester United bossSir Alex Ferguson believesRoberto Mancini needs to start winning things to see his influence grow at Manchester City.
Mancini suggested recently that he wants to have influence over everything at City in the same way Ferguson does at Old Trafford.
But speaking ahead of Sunday's Community Shield clash against City at Wembley, Manchester United manager Ferguson suggested the Italian may have to wait a while.
Ferguson said: "Time does that for you and success, too. It depends on the type of club you have. At United I have been fortunate. They know the most important person at the club is the manager."
