West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is eyeing releasedManchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves.
The People says Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has asked to be kept informed of developments regarding the injury-plagued star who was released by United at the end of last season.
West Bromwich Albion have been in talks with Hargreaves, 30, but have yet to agree a pay-as-you-play deal. Allardyce knows he may have to replace Scott Parker, who is wanted by Aston Villa and has also attracted interest from Chelsea.
And he believes Hargreaves could prove the perfect option if he demonstrates his long-term fitness.
MLS clubs are also chasing the Canadian-raised midfielder.
