Chelsea skipper Terry: Villas-Boas has lifted players with clean slate

Chelsea skipper John Terrysays morale is sky high after the appointment of manager Andre Villas-Boas.
The Blues play a Malaysian XI on Thursday and have made a good start to their pre-season with victories over Wycombe and Portsmouth.
Terry said: "Everyone is happy and everyone has a new chance. There are some lads who didn't get a look-in under Carlo [Ancelotti] and it's a fresh start for everyone. We go again and that brings a new lease of life for those players and more competition for the ones who did play a lot last year.
"He has certainly watched us, and videos of us, of where we went wrong last season. Hopefully he can come in and make a few changes to where we did go wrong last year.
"He's brought new ideas. Even when he was here before, the attention to detail on other teams was incredible back then, but he seems meticulous about other things already.
"When we played Wycombe the preparation and information we received on them for a pre-season game was incredible. It's little things like that can make a big difference.
"On the training pitch it's all about football, possession, pressing, getting the ball back and winning it in the other half. The defensive line is squeezing up more. We're enjoying it and working hard, which is the main thing.
"We're looking to bring players in and strengthen the squad, which is always good. We're ready to go again and hopefully beat Manchester United to that trophy this year."
