Manchester United are expected to grant Patrice Evra leave from their clash with Sunderland.
The Daily Mail says Evra has been left out of the French squad for the forthcoming international friendlies after the death of his brother.
The 30-year-old was expected to be part of the squad but on Thursday coach Laurent Blanc said he had been left out because of 'personal tragedy'.
It is understood Evra's 42-year-old brother died suddenly before the recent Manchester derby and the left back is due to attend the funeral this week.
With Evra unlikely to play in Saturday's game with Sunderland, United also have injury concerns over seven players.
