Manchester United may use players to convinceBlackburn Rovers to part with defender Phil Jones.
The Telegraph says a move for the youngster hinges on Liverpool, who want to sign him this week, while United and Arsenal are prepared to wait for a year if Kenny Dalglishdoesn't open the bidding.
United may hold an advantage in their potential ability to offer players such as Wes Brown, Mame Diouf, Darron Gibson and John O'Shea as part of a deal.
United may also loan Jones straight back to Blackburn for a year.
