Former Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has given his thumbs up to their move for Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan.
The Argentine is expected to join United in the summer in a cash-plus-players swap deal.
"From what I've seen, the player looks an excellent prospect," said Queiroz, who remains close to United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
"I do not know what the club's plans are for this position but Gaitán has undoubtedly the potential and ability to play in England."
