Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is yet to discuss next season with Paul Scholes.
Ferguson will be happy if Scholes, who will be 38 in November, plays on for at least another season.
“It’s not something I’ve discussed with him but on the evidence of what we’ve seen at the moment I don’t see why he shouldn’t. When I said to him last season, ‘You’ll give me 25 to 30 games’, that wasn’t enough for him in his opinion. But he may look at it differently now.”
