Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney hailed David de Gea for his performance in their draw atChelsea.
The Spaniard has come under fire this season after some dubious displays since his £18m summer signing from Atletico Madrid.
But the 21-year-old pulled off two world-class saves to deny Juan Mata and Gary Cahill winners forChelsea in the 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
“David made some fantastic late saves,” said Rooney, whose two converted penalties sparked United’s fightback from 3-0 down.
“He is still a young lad and has a lot to learn. He has made some great saves against Chelsea and I think he is going to be one of the best.”
