Chelsea offer Drogba to convince Tottenham to part with Modric

Chelsea could offerDidier Drogba to Tottenhamin a swap for Luka Modric.
The Mirror says Tottenham chiefHarry Redknapp has insisted the £30million-rated Croatia midfielder is not for sale, despite interest from the Blues and championsManchester United.
Modric himself, however, has pointedly not ruled out a move from White Hart Lane, talking of his desire for another taste of Champions League football after playing a major role in Spurs’ European adventure last season.
Drogba, meanwhile, had appeared to have been given a stay of execution on the back of the performances he gave at the end of the campaign asFernando Torres failed to live up to the burden of expectations after his British-record £50m move to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool, but the Ivorian could become part of any deal.
Redknapp has never hidden his admiration for Drogba and has made it clear he would love to take him - if Chelsea were looking to let him go and finances allowed.
