The Los Angeles Galaxy have made a stunning offer to AS Roma captain Francesco Totti.

Gazzetta dello Sport says LA Galaxy have offered Totti $14 million-a-year to leave Roma and move to the USA.

Totti is being lined up by Galaxy's owners as a replacement for David Beckham, with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star's contract due to expire at the end of this season.

The Italian midfielder has already mulled over the offer, but has so far resisted, insisting he wants to be part of the new era at Roma under American businessman Thomas Di Benedetto.
