Man Utd legend Keane: Drogba's Chelsea legacy tarnished by play-acting

22-04-2012

Manchester United legend Roy Keane feels Didier Drogba has tarnished his legacy at Chelseawith his play-acting.
Keane wrote in the Sun on Sunday: "The chances are Drogba will leave Chelsea and England this summer and what will his legacy be?
"Granted, 155 goals in eight seasons at Stamford Bridge during which time he has won eight major honours is impressive, but what he has done will always be tarnished by his play-acting.
"He will be remembered for that as much as he will be for his big contribution to a successful team and surely that should embarrass him.
"Some people will gloss over all of his nonsense against Barcelona on Wednesday and point out he got the winner but he could have done that without all of his theatrics.
"He’s 6ft 2in tall and weighs 14st 5lb. In other words he’s a big, strong boy — remember how he bullied William Gallas last Sunday — so there’s no reason for him to be going down like he did against Barca. "
